ROLE: SENIOR SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
EXPERIENCE: 4-7 YEARS
LOCATION: MUMBAI/BANGALORE
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
* C# and .NET: Strong production experience with .NET Framework 4.x and modern .NET (.NET 8+), async programming, dependency injection, configuration. * Services and hosting: ASP.NET Core, Worker Services, Windows services, and hosting the same code base on Windows and Linux/containers. * Legacy modernization: Migrating .NET Framework projects to modern .NET, replacing System.Web/OWIN/WCF dependencies, multi-targeting, characterization tests. * Windows platform knowledge: WMI, registry, event log, certificate store, service accounts, 32-bit/64-bit and native interop. * APIs: REST design, versioning, authentication and authorization, OpenAPI. * Data: PostgreSQL (Npgsql, EF Core/Dapper), migrations; exposure to SQL Server and SQLite. * Reliability: Scheduling, retries, timeouts, cancellation, failure isolation, structured logging. * Testing: Unit and integration tests (xUnit/NUnit), mocking, TDD practices.
GOOD-TO-HAVE SKILLS
* Messaging (RabbitMQ), outbox and idempotent-delivery patterns. * Docker, Kubernetes basics, CI/CD pipelines. * Python for tooling and integrations; WiX/MSI installers. * Industrial protocols such as OPC UA; exposure to OT/ICS environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design and implement services, adapters and agents with clear interfaces and strong test coverage. * Migrate and refactor legacy components while preserving existing behavior. * Build secure, observable and resilient components that run unattended at customer sites. * Participate in code reviews, design discussions and release support; mentor peers.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
