* Design and develop mechanical systems for enclosure structures, including the payload integration platforms and mechanisms. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and integrate subsystems into the overall system design. * Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to evaluate the structural integrity of designs against operational loads. * Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including CAD models, assemblies, and technical specifications. * Oversee the fabrication and assembly of mechanical components, and coordinate testing to validate design performance. * Conduct design reviews and evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * 1+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace or satellite industry. * Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks) for 3D modeling and mechanical design. * Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) tools (e.g., Calculix, PrePoMax) for structural evaluation and optimization. * In-depth knowledge of materials used in aerospace applications and the ability to select appropriate materials based on thermal and mechanical requirements. * Familiarity with environmental testing standards for space applications, including thermal vacuum testing, vibration testing, and shock testing. * Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges. * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment. * Passion for space and telecom technology and a commitment to achieving high-quality design solutions.
